Dear friends:
This is more information on the expectancy of the Messiah amongst Jews.
You may have heard about the six-year-old Jewish boy in New York who
has been prophesying about the coming of Messiah and the resurrection.
He is referred to as "Eli," even though this is not his real
name. Information about Eli can be found at http://www.erevmoshiach.org/EM/ErevMoshiach2.asp
This Web site quotes a Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, who said... "when
it will be close to the days of Moshiach (Messiah), even children who
will be in the world at that time will find secrets of wisdom, and will
know from them ends [of exile] and calculations [of redemption], and
at that time [Hashem] will reveal [them] to everyone.” (Zohar
Vayeira 118a). (Caution: The Zohar is a kabala source, or mystical rabbinic
teaching.)
Personally, I am skeptical about this, but I pass it along only as further
evidence of Messianic expectancy among Jews. Be cautious about believing
what Eli is saying, and judge it by the Word of God. Some may be scriptural
and some is definitely not. Some is actually weird. Yet I am open to
someone like this having a partial revelation.
Eli says:
Early August 2005 (early in the month of Menachem Av) Resurrection of
the Patriarchs – The Jewish Patriarchs who "sleep" in
the Machpela cave in Hebron will be brought to life.
September/October 2005 (Elul 5765/Tishrei 5766) Worldwide
Earthquakes – Earthquakes will shake the entire world except for
the land of Israel for a period of two months. Interesting to note that
a rare solar eclipse is anticipated on Erev Rosh Hashana (30 Elul, eve
of the Jewish New Year). See the NASA website for astronomical details.
November 2/3, 2005 (from Rosh Chodesh Marcheshvan 5766)
Raining and Flooding – The entire world will be inundated with
rising floodwaters, implying a spiritual elevation for the righteous.
Interesting to note that the Islamic feast marking the end of the Ramadan
fast takes place on the 4th of November.
December 2005
(Chanukah 5766) Initial Revelation of Moshiach (Messiah) –
This will occur via unique shooting stars and other celestial events.
Interesting to note that Chanukah this year begins the night of the
25th of December.
In spite of all this, Eli himself says that the dates he gives are not
definite -- Moshiach will be revealed at the moment that God desires.
I guess this disclaimer gets Eli off the hook if nothing happens!
Don't hold your breath! But there are too many other signs to get complacent.
Keep looking up. Jesus is coming!
