This book is dedicated to honor my father and mother, James D., Sr., and Clara Etta (Kell), long since departed. God used them to give me life and bring me into this world. My dad was born in Tryon, Georgia and my mom in Sparta, Tennessee.
As soon as they became young adults, they were faced with the Great Depression, and me, soon followed by World War II, in which my father fought in Europe with the 30th Infantry Division. My mother was a very hard-working woman who sacrificed greatly for me. It was a very trying time for that generation.
I thank God for them. They are remembered with great love and affection.
